Online reviews are the new way that companies market to prospective customers. Gone are the days where noise conveyed through billboards, commercials and radio ads translate to sustainable growth in business. With everyone distracted with their phones and the general day-to-day, "permission marketing" is now the way that businesses show who they are and seek to earn trust with a customer base.
Despite being a lawn equipment store in La Salle, Michigan and not a tech company in California, we are not short on innovative thinking and a desire to constantly push ourselves to improve. We love what we do and want to be the best at it, thus requiring us to be receptive to customer feedback and engage in the conversation whether we get praise or frustration from a customer.
The other thing that reviews do is help us to keep our marketing costs down. Though the aforementioned mediums are a dying art, they still charge quite extensively for the luxury, if we took that path. Us being able to market to customers through our online reputation saves us money and that savings can be passed on to you, the customer, through lower costs overall.
We appreciate when customers take time out of their busy schedule to leave us a review. Our goal is to provide top quality customer service, and we enjoy having that confirmed in the comments customers provide as shown through our responses. If we ever fall short of meeting that goal, and customer's expectations, we want to know about it so that we can make things right moving forward.
